Luigi Bosca Gala 2 is a sophisticated and modern wine with a classic spirit. Deep and bright burgundy-colored, it has delicate and harmonious aromas, with forest fruit and sweet spices notes. It is voluptuous, wellbodied and fresh in the mouth, with fine tannins. Firm in the palate, with an elegant and expressive character and smooth vegetal hints that are characteristic of Cabernet Sauvignon. Its long and appealing finish helps to perceive the fully-integrated smoked aromas of the ageing process. It is a red wine that always grows in complexity after its storage.

It is ideal to savor special dishes such as duck magret with creamy polenta and grilled vegetables, or a roasted kid with creamy tamale dough.
Continental climate, with a wide range of temperature between day and night, and well-defined seasons which contribute to a good growth of the vines. The altitude and its microclimate are ideal for the grapes since they provide a unique character. Many hours of good sunlight.
Soil and vine
This red wine is a blend from two vineyards located in Luján de Cuyo, with outstanding health and phytosanitary conditions. The soils are sandy-loam, with stones from varying size, poor organic matter and very good drainage.
The three varieties are vinified separately the same way. The grapes are hand-picked, clusters are then sorted and destemmed for further grain selection. The must is macerated in cold for 3 to 5 days at a temperature from 10°C to 15°C. Then the must is fermented with selected yeast in small stainless steel tanks, with delestages and pressings. Once fermentation is finished, only the Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in oak barrels where malolactic fermentation occurs and is then matured for 14 months. Once the ageing is finished and the final blend is done the wine is clarified, filtered and bottled. It is stored at the winery for at least 6 months before market release.

Gala 2 is a blend that combines three vines of great character as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, in which the complexity and spicy notes are a common factor. The first variety provides black fruit and structure, whereas the second one gives its delicate aroma and softness and Merlot adds complexity and sweetness. The 2016 Harvest had a cool to cold weather throughout the plants growth and grapes maturity cycle, resulting in great intensity and aromatic precision. In this blend, the spicy character, the floral notes and softness stand out.
