Luigi Bosca Gala 4 is a modern wine conceived on the basis of experience. Deep and bright ruby red colored, with subtle and delicate aromas, ripe red fruit, spices and dried herb notes. It is smooth and balanced in the mouth, with firm tannins, and clean, fresh, juicy and gentle in the palate, with an elegant vegetal character and a persistent finish, when we can perceive its ageing in oak. It is a blend with typicity and good ageing potential.

Ideal to enjoy with special dishes such as loin with vegetable marinade, or a dry aged beef with rocket and parmesan salad.
Continental climate, with a wide range of temperature between day and night, and well-defined seasons which contribute to a good growth of the vines. The altitude and its microclimate are ideal for the grapes since they provide a unique character. Many hours of good sunlight.
Soil and vine
This wine is a blend from vineyards located in Luján de Cuyo, with outstanding health and phytosanitary conditions. The soils are sandy-loam, with stones from varying size, poor organic matter and very good drainage.
Both varieties are vinified separately exactly the same way. The grapes are hand-picked, clusters are then selected and destemmed for further grain selection. The must is cold macerated for 5 to 7 days at a temperature from 10°C to 15°C. Then it is fermented with selected yeasts in small stainless steel tanks, with delestages and pressings. Once fermentation is finished, only the Cabernet Franc is aged in new oak barrels for 14 months. Once the ageing is finished, the final blend is done and the wine is clarified, filtered and bottled. It is stored in the winery for at least six months before market release.

This is a wine made from Cabernet Franc nuanced with 5% of Malbec. Here, we attempt to express the potential of this vine in a scented, complex and elegant wine. The 2016 harvest had a cool to cold weather throughout the plants growth and grapes maturity cycle, thus resulting in great intensity and aromatic precision, highlighting the intense floral and spicy notes in this Gala 4 Harvest, with a juicy balance and its soft texture in the mouth.
