Luigi Bosca · De Sangre is a bright burgundy red wine with ruby shades. It has subtle and balanced aromas, with herby and spicy notes. It is voluptuous and expressive in the mouth, with incipient tannins. It is clean, well-bodied, vivacious and fresh in the palate, with a gentle character. Persistent finish, when the Cabernet’s typicity is perceived together with smoked aromas from its ageing process. It is a blend with a great storage capacity that reflects the family’s spirit.

Perfect to enjoy with a mushroom risotto or some baby back ribs with corncob and wood roasted potatoes.


The three varieties are vinified separately in exactly the same way. The grapes are hand-picked in boxes from 18 to 20 kilograms, clusters are selected, then they are destemmed and after that the best grains are chosen. The must is cold macerated from 5 to 7 days at a temperature from 10°C to 15°C. Then it is fermented with selected yeasts in small stainless-steel tanks with delestages and pressings. Once fermentation is finished, the three varieties are separately stored for 12 months in French oak (90%) and American oak (10%) barrels. After completing the ageing process, the final blend is done, and the wine is stabilized, filtered and bottled. It is stored in the winery for a year before market release.

Comments by the winemaker

Luigi Bosca De Sangre is a wine that represents the Arizu family’s spirit, vocation and winegrowing expertise. It is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend harvested in one of the highest areas of Luján de Cuyo, with an intense spicy and ripe character that goes hand in hand with Syrah’s floral expression and Merlot’s fruity and earthy notes. Its ageing in oak barrels highlights its structure, softness and complexity.
